Born in Frankfurt, Germany, on a cold October morning, Gino Silver (Silverio Holguin) let out his first scream announcing to the world "I'm alive." He was born to parents Silverio C. Holguin and Romelia Lugo, who were immigrants to the United States from Chihuahua, Mexico. At the early age of 10, Gino regularly performed for family and friends at social gatherings. When Gino was in the 5th grade, his teacher asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he responded with "I am going to be famous." So, at the age of 15, Gino began pursuing his life-long dream, to become a Rock Star.
In 1986, Gino Silver’s band “Asha” was signed with RCA/Ariola Records International. “Asha” is credited with being one of the first bands signed during the “Rock En Tu Idioma” campaign. Gino Silver’s album “Todo Por El Rock” included many hits such as, “El Recuerdo De Ti,” “Cada Vez Que Pienso En Ti,” “Lobo Hombre en Paris” and “Nunca Nunca Mas.” Gino Silver has since collaborated on several projects, both nationally and internationally, meriting Grammy award nominations.
